The Iasis Safeguard health system includes a very thorough annual review of a client's history,  present medications, known conditions and client observations. 

Then the Iasis Safeguard system does a personal and data confirmation.


Ontario Prescription Renewals

  1. For a prescription renewal in Ontario, the Iasis Safeguard client requests a prescription renewal on-line.
  2. Up to three listed (non-narcotic - non-critical) medications may be selected per request.
  3. Iasis forwards the verified request to the client's own physician by fax.
  4. The client's doctor approves or declines the request.
  5. If approved, the prescription is signed and faxed by the doctor to the patient's pharmacy.
  6. If declined, the patient will be contacted by the physician for an appointment.

Ontario Referrals To U.S. Specialists

  1. Iasis clients who wish to see a U.S. specialist for assessment or treatment make their request on-line.
  2. The client sees an Ontario physician for assessment and referral.
  3. The client begins assessment or treatment in U.S.
  4. Follow-up reports go to the client's physician.

Ontario Referrals To U.S. MRI, CT & Mammography Scans

  1. Iasis clients in Ontario who wish to go to the U.S. for scans,  make their request on-line.
  2. The client sees an Ontario physician for assessment and referral.
  3. The client goes to the U.S. for the scan - usually within a week.
  4. Results are usually available within 48 hours.
  5. Follow-up reports go to the client's physician.
